Spicy Crackers

Grocery List or things you need to be sure you have on hand:  box of saltine crackers, liquid vegetable oil, original Hidden Valley Ranch dressing mix, chili powder, red pepper flakes
Approximate Preparation Time 15 minutes preparation; 4 - 5 hours to marinate
Ease of Preparation: Very Easy
List of Ingredients
16 ounce (454 gram) box of saltine crackers
1 1/3 cup canola or other liquid vegetable oil
1 package original Hidden Valley Ranch salad dressing mix
2 rounded teaspoons of chili powder
1 rounded teaspoon of red pepper flakes
Directions: Place whole box of crackers in a covered flat pan such as a 9" X 13" covered cake pan.  Mix remaining ingredients together and pour over crackers.  Cover pan and turn upside down.  Turn pan over every 30 minutes for 4 hours, then they're ready to eat.
Hints, Tips and Variations: You can use other dry dressing mixes to suit your taste.
Good Cooks Tell All: Although these look like they would be soggy after marinating, they're not.  They come out dry and crunchy and uum-uum good!  They are good with dips, cheese and veggies.

Skinny It Down: You can use no-fat saltines instead of the regular ones.  By the time you get through marinating the crackers, you won't be able to tell the difference.
Way good:
