To make up sauce add 2 cans (8oz) tomato sauce or one large can diced tomatoes , 1 (6oz) can tomato paste, 2-3/4 tomato juice or water, 1 lb. ground beef browned and drained.
Brown ground beef and onion.  Rinse and drain.  Add tomatoes to meat, then add tomato paste and seasonings. Bring to boil then reduce heat and simmer.
Hints, Tips and Variations:  If you like it hotter, you can add dried red pepper flakes or a dash of cayenne or hot pepper sauce. You can make some packets up ahead of time or order our ready made mix.
Good Cooks Tell All:   I like to use as many fresh ingredients as I can so I will use fresh onion and garlic as well as fresh tomatoes when I have time.  When I don't, the tomato sauce still tastes great
