List of Ingredients:
1 pound ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped
1 teaspoon garlic salt
generous sprinkling Cavender's seasoning
2 cans (16oz.) tomatoes
1 Tbsp. sugar
2 Tbsp. salt
1 Tbsp. oregano (or more)
1/2 tsp. basil leaves
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 bay leaf
Directions: Crumble ground beef into medium hot skillet. Sprinkle liberally with Cavender's seasoning. When browned, pour ground beef into a colander and rinse with water. Put meat back in skillet. Add tomatoes and break up with hand or spoon. Add tomato paste and seasonings. Bring to boil, reduce heat and simmer until cooked down to the consistency you like. Taste and adjust seasonings to your liking.
Hints, Tips and Variations: You can make this with meat or for your vegetarian family/friends you can make it meatless. This freezes well either way.
